About the Severn Vale Art Trail

The Severn Vale Art Trail is a collaborative, community-driven event that brings together over 60 artists across 29 venues. Over five days, artists and makers showcase their original works in homes, studios, community halls, and churches, offering visitors a unique opportunity to engage with the art in intimate and diverse settings.

From contemporary to traditional art, visitors can view a wide range of mediums, including painting, ceramics, sculpture, stained glass, jewellery, and textiles. The Art Trail provides a chance for art lovers to meet the artists, learn about their processes, and purchase original, locally-made artwork.

A Successful Event at Wild Acres

The event was a resounding success, with a steady flow of visitors throughout the weekend. Amanda’s artwork was met with high praise, and the opportunity to connect with the artist herself added a special touch. Meet Amanda Griffiths: Artist, Educator, and Director at Wild Acres

Amanda Griffiths, originally from Carmarthenshire, South Wales, has had a lifelong passion for the arts. Growing up in a traditional Welsh town, she later moved to Cardiff in the 1980s, quickly immersing herself in the vibrant arts scene. With her own studio above the market and exhibitions at Chapter Arts Centre and Llanover Arts, Amanda became a recognised figure in Cardiff’s creative community. She was also a member of the acclaimed all-women band, the Tidy Girls.

Amanda pursued her passion further by studying Fine Arts and sculpture at Bower Ashton in Bristol. Since earning her degree, she has worked extensively in the voluntary and education sectors, focusing on Therapeutic and Community Arts. Her work has taken her to diverse settings, from colleges and a women’s prison to children’s homes, festivals, and community events.
