Mend and Bloom

Plant sale, clothes repair, and upcycling workshops – what a wonderful success!

Our Mend and Bloom event was a joyful gathering filled with eco-conscious energy and community spirit!

On Saturday, May 11th, sunshine and laughter filled the air as people of all ages joined us to share skills, swap seeds, and explore sustainable living. From vibrant plant sales and upcycling workshops to bike repairs and clothing fixes, every corner of Wild Acres buzzed with activity.

Visitors enjoyed tea, cake, and inspiring discussions with the Berkeley Climate Action Group. Our site tours gave everyone a peek into the exciting projects at Wild Acres, and the community came together to support each other and learn new ways to live greener. We’re thrilled by the fantastic turnout and the positive energy everyone brought to Mend and Bloom. Thanks to all who joined, donated, and contributed to making this day a success. Let’s keep the momentum going as we work together for a brighter, more sustainable future!

I loved swapping seeds, getting my garden tools sharpened, and connecting with like-minded people who care about sustainability. The workshops were inspiring, and the tea and cake made it all the more enjoyable! I left feeling motivated and more connected to my community. Can’t wait for the next one!”
