About Wild Acres CIC

The Wild Acres Community Project was initially a community-led response to the social impact of COVID-19 and the lockdown.  We wanted to create a safe and supportive space to meet, share ideas, prepare meals, eat together, and work collectively in an outdoor environment on land-based activities, particularly food growing and habitat management.

Project work to date has included Events, Arts and crafts activities, Training days, Workshops, Community Days, Conservation work, Biodiversity monitoring, and unstructured Nature-based play activities.  We have worked in partnership with many wonderful organisations and people. We are very proud of what we have achieved.

At the end of 2024, we decided to scale back operations and cancel our regular community sessions and other projects. The decision was not taken lightly but change was necessary for business and personal reasons.

We are still growing organic vegetables and managing the site for biodiversity gain and can offer training and work experience opportunities, particularly for young people.  We also undertake consultancy work and help develop creative projects off-site.

We welcome inquiries from other organizations or individuals who wish to run small-scale events at Wild Acres such as workshops. We particularly welcome inquiries for creative and nature-based family and/or children’s activities.
